Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using CutForge ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.

2. License Grant

Monthly License

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use CutForge on one (1) device for the duration of your active subscription. License expires if subscription is cancelled or payment fails.

Yearly License

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use CutForge on one (1) device for twelve (12) months from the date of purchase. License expires at the end of the billing period unless renewed.

Lifetime License

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use CutForge on one (1) device permanently. This license does not expire and includes all future updates to the Software at no additional cost.

3. Restrictions

You may not:

Copy, modify, or distribute the Software

Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software

Share, resell, or sublicense your license key

Use the Software for any illegal purpose

Remove any copyright or proprietary notices

4. License Transfers

Each license is locked to one device (machine). You may transfer your license to a new device using the Transfer License feature in Settings. Only one active device is permitted per license at any time.

5. Refund Policy

We offer a 7-day refund policy on all purchases. If you are not satisfied with CutForge within 7 days of purchase, contact us for a full refund. Refunds will not be issued after 7 days or after excessive use of the Software.

6. Updates and Support

Lifetime license holders receive all future updates at no cost

Yearly license holders receive updates during their active subscription

Monthly license holders receive updates during their active subscription

Support is provided via email on a best-effort basis

7. Privacy and Data Collection

CutForge collects minimal data:

License validation — your license key and machine ID are sent to our license server (LemonSqueezy) to verify your purchase

Error reporting — if you use the "Send to Developer" feature, your error log is uploaded to help us fix bugs. This is always optional and user-initiated

No video data — your videos, audio, and captions never leave your device. All processing is done locally

We do not sell, share, or monetize any user data.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. CUTFORGE STUDIO MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

9. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL CUTFORGE STUDIO BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SOFTWARE.

10. FFmpeg

CutForge bundles FFmpeg, which is licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL) version 2.1 or later. FFmpeg source code is available at ffmpeg.org. CutForge's use of FFmpeg complies with all LGPL requirements.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Malaysia.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify users of significant changes via the app's update notification system.
